Development Program Manager

 SPECIFIC DUTIES: - ESSENTIAL (employee MUST be able to execute):
• Establishing cost, schedule, and resource requirements for all major development programs.
• Executing programs on time and within cost and schedule goals.
• Managing the day-to-day work assignments of the project team including all internal and external
resources.
•Coordinating internal and external resources in product development, tooling design & development, first
article inspections, design documentation, status reporting, material procurement, prototype testing, and
delivery.
•Managing the design release and the transition from product development to production through
coordination with corporate manufacturing, engineering, and procurement resources.
•Supporting customer and government reviews as well as on-site reviews at critical suppliers.
•Supporting customer briefings, proposal generation, new business initiatives, and all optics initiatives.
You should plan on traveling up to 20% of the time, although the travel will be on an as-needed basis. For
the most part the travel will be domestic, although you may travel abroad as well.
Other job duties as assigned.  As a defense contractor we are subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and you must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (green card holder) to take this position

Education:
BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related experience in engineering
program management . MS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
