Job Description

 SPECIFIC DUTIES (employee must be able to execute):

• Electro-optic testing and inspection of WIP, Finished Product, and Returned Displays.
• Use and basic understanding of electronic measurement apparatus, PCs, test gear required.
• Some understanding of light and optics apparatus.
• Record keeping and data entry using MS Excel.
• Must be able to proficiently analyze and document problems and failures on the Displays.
• Evening and Weekend overtime work may be required.

OTHER WORK TO BE PERFORMED:

• On-going communication with co-workers and engineers.
• Other assigned duties

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED BY EMPLOYEE:

• Electronic test apparatus and mounting jigs (e.g., oscilloscopes, DMM, Analyzers)
• Optical equipment (e.g., photometers, lens, LED’s)
• PCs & PC driven equipment (w/ MS Excel)
• Wafer handling tools

WORKING CONDITIONS (environment):

• Test lab environment
• Some interaction and presence in cleanroom may be required.

JOB MEASUREMENTS (indicators of satisfactory job performance):

• Ability to follow written instructions and verbal & written communication from engineers.
• Ability to observe, analyze, and troubleshoot product defects.

Requirements

DESIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS (minimal requirements):

Education: Associate’s Degree in Electronics/Video/Optics, or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Electronic and material inspection experience highly desired.
Nationality: US Citizenship required
Desired Personal Traits and Characteristics: Technician should be motivated, work cohesively with co-workers, and be able to read and understand English as well provide concise, written documentation in English.
