Staff Scientist

SPECIFIC DUTIES: - ESSENTIAL (employee MUST be able to execute): • Lead and contribute to teams developing new materials, structures, and tests for improving the performance of III-V transistors. • Develop and define product quality plans • Direct Failure Analysis initiatives. • Guide the Engineering staff in ensuring consistent quality. • Participate in production support teams for specific HBT products and/or customers EQUIPMENT and/or MACHINES to be USED by EMPLOYEE: • MOCVD production equipment (Epi Tools) and associated components. • Semiconductor material characterization and device processing equipment. • Oracle database and PC applications JOB MEASUREMENTS (indicators of satisfactory job performance): • Compliance with company and department procedures • Effective execution of established goals • Make regular presentations, reviewed by the entire technology group, updating the progress made in the areas of assigned or assumed leadership. • Demonstrate a clear willingness to contribute to projects as team members. • Ability to deal with situations that involve an element of ambiguity. • Managing multiple projects and issues with competing priority.

DESIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements): Education: Ph.D. in Engineering or Applied Science. Experience: MOCVD growth and research; Technical Knowledge: familiarity with MS Office, statistical process control techniques; cleanroom experience; semiconductor device fabrication.
