Job Description
SPECIFIC DUTIES - Essential (employee MUST be able to execute): In addition to the qualifications detailed above, you'll need: • Demonstrated strong problem solving skills in process engineering. • Experience working with Gallium Arsenide • Experience with pHEMT development and manufacturing • Self-motivation, outstanding analytical abilities, creativity, and attention to detail. • High work standards, a strong sense of accountability, and excellent communication skills. • Solid organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize projects and provide direction and leadership in a fast-paced environment. • Familiarity with MS Office applications. • Proficiency with statistical process control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) and process capability (Cpk). • The ability to utilize sound problem-solving methodologies to support process improvements and to utilize statistical methods to ensure process control. • The ability to coordinate design of experiments with the R&D engineering team. Preferred but not required: • An understanding of RF and/or microwave circuits. • Knowledge of Quality Plans, Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping (VSM) KAIZEN, 5S, processes optimization, and quality improvement.
Requirements
To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have a BS in Engineering or Physics (MS or PhD preferred) and at least three years of experience in the semiconductor industry, including hands-on manufacturing experience with GaAs epitaxy and device processing. We're looking for a professional with a proven ability to take R&D concepts and make them work in production. You also will need effective project management skills; supervisory and/or management experience is a plus.
