Highest-pixel-density AMLCD
The high-performance single-crystal silicon transistors allow the use of very small pixel sizes, resulting in high-density displays with ~1700 full-color pixels per inch.

Color-filter type, transmissive LCD (same as LCD TV)
Kopin’s color displays utilize industry standard color filter technology, which allows CyberDisplay products to be compatible with standard video input formats. Each pixel is composed of three color (red, green and blue) dots.

Ultra-compact size (0.16” – 0.97” diagonal)
The ultra-high pixel density means compact size for the resolution. In addition, the transmissive nature of the CyberDisplay products allows use of the thinnest and smallest optics.

Wide range of resolutions for a variety of applications
The architecture and manufacturing of CyberDisplay LCDs allow very short cycle time for new displays. This has enabled Kopin to offer displays with a wide range of resolutions, ranging from medium resolution for camcorder viewfinders to HD-TV resolution. The displays are offered in the normal 4:3 aspect ratio and the wide 16:9 aspect ratio.

Low power consumption
The small size of CyberDisplay LCDs means much lower power consumption than larger displays with the same resolution. In addition, Kopin’s patent-pending low-voltage (LV) architecture reduces the video voltage level by half, further reducing the power consumption. The reduced video level also allows the use of CMOS driver ICs, which cost much less and consume less power than high-voltage driver ICs.

Module products for easy design-in
Complete electronic viewfinder (EVF) for digital cameras and complete video subsystem for video eyewear are offered for speedy product introduction and lower cost.
