Agreement Supports Increasing Demand for Skyworks' Cell Phone
                           Power Amplifiers

TAUNTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 14, 2008--Kopin(R) Corp. (NASDAQ: KOPN), the world's leading provider of heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) wafers for cellular phones and wireless local area networks, today announced that Kopin and Skyworks Solutions, Inc. have extended their HBT purchase and supply agreement. Skyworks, headquartered in Woburn, Mass., is an industry leader in radio solutions and precision analog semiconductors for mobile communications.

Under the agreement, Kopin will fulfill all 4-inch-diameter and the vast majority of 6-inch-diameter HBT wafer requirements of Skyworks through July 2010. The agreement applies to a wide range of III-V technologies including multiple GaAs HBT products, Skyworks' advanced BiFET design and Kopin's GAIN-HBT(R) platform. The agreement also facilitates the companies' continued collaboration to improve yields to drive down costs and to expand into new products.

"Skyworks has been our valued customer and partner for many years, and our relationship has proved extremely successful," said Dr. John C.C. Fan, Kopin president and chief executive officer. "The rapid growth of advanced multi-mode phones requiring multiple power amplifiers, combined with an increasing cell phone user base, bodes well for healthy growth in HBT power amplifier markets. Our mission is to maintain Kopin's lead in providing our partners with the best quality, consistency, capacity and technical advances in III-V epitaxial materials."

"I am pleased that Skyworks and Kopin will continue to work closely together," said Bruce Freyman, Skyworks vice president of worldwide operations. "In the past few years, we have been collaborating to improve efficiency, quality and cost, all while implementing promising new technologies. Our efforts have been very successful, and we presented Kopin with our Best Supplier Award last year. It's important to have a partner such as Kopin that understands our philosophy and is capable of executing the demanding tasks necessary to achieve success in our industry."

Kopin has shipped more than 900,000 HBT wafers worldwide. To meet the growing demand for Kopin III-V products, the Company installed three of the most advanced MOCVD manufacturing tools in 2006 at one of Kopin's two production facilities in Massachusetts. These tools are now fully qualified and are supplying production wafers. Kopin also has qualified its Taiwan-based affiliate, KTC, to supply additional wafers to Skyworks.
