Kopin Wins TSIA Innovator Award for Mobility

Company's Golden-i(R) Mobile Computing Headset Also Selected as Best in Tour at Technology Services World Conference

TAUNTON, Mass. & LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kopin Corporation (Nasdaq: KOPN), the largest U.S. manufacturer of micro-displays for consumer, industrial and military applications, today announced it is the recipient of the Recognized Innovator Award for Mobility from the Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA). The company won the honor for its Golden-i(R) Mobile Computing Headset, which was also selected as Best in Tour by the more than 900 attendees of the 2010 Technology Services World (TSW) conference in Las Vegas.

"We're honored to be recognized both by TSIA and the TSW conference attendees, who further validated Golden-i as a revolutionary mobile product," said Jeffrey Jacobsen, Kopin Senior Advisor to CEO and Golden-i Program Manager. "The benefits and possibilities of this hands-free mobile computing and communications system are endless, and we are excited to see Golden-i(R) headsets put to use in day-to-day applications."

Golden-i is a lightweight mobile computing headset that provides hands-free, on-demand, wireless remote control of multiple devices such as PCs, mobile phones, industrial equipment, and company servers, while enhancing cloud computing environments. The system offers wireless access to virtually all information and can maintain multiple 15-inch virtual display screens spatially so the user can switch to a different screen by a simple head motion. Additionally, it can send and receive HD streaming video real-time over Bluetooth 2.1 EDR, WiFi and cellular.

"The Recognized Innovator Awards are the only independently judged awards program that recognizes innovation in technology services products and service offerings documented with customer case studies of measurable business value and results," said John Ragsdale, vice president of technology research for TSIA. "Kopin was selected as a winner for its leadership in developing an innovative mobility solution that improves the safety, productivity, and efficiency of a business' global workforce."

The Recognized Innovators were selected by a panel of judges, including industry experts and TSIA members. The Best in Tour awards were voted by attendees following the Innovation Tours at the Technology Services World conference earlier this month. Conducted by TSIA's John Ragsdale, the tours featured demos from all of the Recognized Innovator finalist companies.
