Our Forth Dimension Displays range of high-resolution FLCoS devices provides fast phase modulation for precision applications.
Our proprietary, high-speed reflective FLCoS (Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal on Silicon) technology is fast-switching and enables images to be constructed sequentially in the time domain. We provide a range of display resolutions, plug-and-play driver interfaces, and configurable software for easy integration into precision applications, including Super-Resolution Microscopy, Computer Generated Imaging, Holographic Optical Tweezer and more.
WXGA 0.8” M108
The WXGA M108 Display (13.62µm) is an FLCoS with a resolution of 1280 x 768. This compact, high-performance microdisplay is ideally suited for high-performance monocular, biocular, and binocular imaging applications.
SXGA 0.88” M249
The SXGA M249 Display (13.62µm) is an FLCoS with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 and is suitable for high-resolution imaging and other light modulation applications. When coupled with a direct driver interface and optical system, it can be used to control either the amplitude or phase of light incident upon it.
SXGA 0.88” M349
The SXGA M349 Spatial Light Modulator (13.62µm) is a wide temperature range FLCoS with a resolution of 1280 x 1024. This fast-switching, all-digital, high-performance reflective SLM with interface electronics is ideal for fielded imaging applications.
QXGA 0.83” M150
The QXGA M150 Display (8.2µm) is an FLCoS with a resolution of 2048 x 1536. This microdisplay is ideal for high-resolution near-to-eye applications.
2K 0.94” M180
The 2K M180 Display (8.2µm) is an FLCoS with a resolution of 2048 x 2048. This digitally-controlled microdisplay provides binary amplitude modulation suitable for high-resolution and high-fidelity imaging, from medical imaging to structured light projection for 3D optical metrology.
WQHD 0.95” M190
The WQHD M190 Display (8.2µm) is a wide temperature range FLCoS with a resolution of 2560 x 1440. This microdisplay is ideal for high-performance display applications.

FLCoS-based binary SLMs provide 0 – π phase modulation with zero phase jitter essential to stable diffractive patterns.
Time Domain Imaging
Refresh rates in the kHz range allow for speckle reduction by averaging over several phase masks.
