Golden Pearl™ WVGA 0.32” Color LCD Optical Module

The Golden Pearl™ is a compact Optical Module aimed for commercial and industrial applications. It integrates a transmissive WVGA 0.32” Color LCD (854 x 480 resolution), an efficient waveguide backlight, and curved prism optics with nanostructures.

The Golden Pearl provides a bright full-color image with less than 1% distortion in a 20° field of view and comfortably large eye box (8 x 5 mm) and eye relief (22.5 mm).

The Golden Pearl and Kopin’s A912 Display Driver ASIC together consume less than 240 mW at display brightness of 500 cd/m², sufficient for outdoor usage. Further system power savings are achievable using capabilities on the ASIC and LCD.
